PROJECT 34Advanced
Commission Management in Streamlit
Business scenario
Sales commissions are calculated in a fragile spreadsheet. Disputes take days to resolve.
Problem statement
Build a Streamlit app where finance uploads monthly sales performance, configures commission rules, reviews calculated commissions per rep and exports an approved payout file.
Learning objectives
- Implement configurable commission rules
- Build a multi-page Streamlit app with validation
- Provide audit trail and export
Instructions
Rules (configurable): base commission % on actual sales; accelerator above 100% of plan; cap; clawback flag. Validate uploads (columns, types, duplicates). Store approved runs (SQLite) with who/when.
Tasks
- Rule engine with unit tests.
- Upload & validation page.
- Review page with filters and charts.
- Approval + export + history.
- README and deployment notes.
Deliverables
- App repository
- Tests
- Demo screenshots/video
